Terms of Service

1.The service

NihongoViet is a free web app for learning Japanese: vocabulary, kanji, grammar, listening, reading, reviews, quizzes and JLPT mock exams. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any feature, sometimes without notice.

2.Your account

• Use your own email address and accurate details when you sign up.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• If you suspect someone else is using your account, change your password right away — every other device will be signed out — and let us know.

3.Acceptable use

When using NihongoViet, you must not:

• use automated tools to download or copy content in bulk, or send an unusual volume of requests to our servers;
• try to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data or systems, or get around protections such as the sign-in attempt limit;
• disrupt the service or spread malware;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose.

4.Content and copyright

• The learning content, interface, and the NihongoViet name and logo belong to NihongoViet or its licensors. You may use them for personal, non-commercial study.
• Do not copy, resell or republish learning content elsewhere without our written permission.
• Videos and audio embedded from YouTube belong to their owners and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.
• Kanji stroke order data comes from the KanjiVG project (© Ulrich Apel), licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0.

5.Quizzes and JLPT mock exams

Quiz and JLPT mock exam scores are for self-assessment only. They are not official results and do not guarantee any result in the real exam.

NihongoViet is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Japan Foundation or Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES), which administer the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

6.No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. We work to keep the content accurate and the service running, but we do not guarantee that the content is free of errors or that the service will always be available. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

7.Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, NihongoViet is not liable for indirect damages arising from using or being unable to use the service, including loss of study progress.

8.Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

9.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.

10.Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update this page and the effective date at the top. Continuing to use NihongoViet after that date means you accept the new terms.
